Dorset Community House
Would you like to drive positive change for young people in rural Tasmania? Are you passionate about youth, social work, community development or social change?
Dorset Community House in Scottsdale is looking to fill an exciting Youth Development Officer position to assist with delivery of the Bright Dorset Youth Project. Join us to be part of this exciting project that will build skills, opportunities and confidence of 12-25-year old’s in the Dorset area. The position will be based at Dorset Community House in Scottsdale and will work across the municipality including areas such as Branxholm, Derby, Winnaleah, Pioneer and Gladstone.
Dorset House provides community development to the whole of the Dorset area. It provides regional sector leadership, consultation with the local community and program delivery in the area. Dorset House has a current strategic focus on young people and on remote, isolated communities in Dorset
Dorset House is a member of Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania and is managed by a local community board. The House provides community development, health and wellbeing programs for all ages, emergency food relief, community transport and sector leadership. We have strong policies and procedures in place and provide staff training, especially around child safety and inclusivity.
