The North Eastern Soldiers Memorial Hospital (NESMH) is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Support Officer to join their team in Scottsdale. This role is ideal for someone with strong admin experience and a professional, helpful manner, particularly in healthcare settings.
About the role:
You’ll be providing effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to the Director of Nursing and hospital staff, as well as reception services to the public and healthcare professionals.
- Part-time permanent role (32 hours per fortnight)
- Rostered shifts: 4:00 – 6:00pm weekdays, 10:00am – 6:00pm weekends and public holidays
- Salary: $67,193 – $70,993 pro rata per annum, plus 11.5% super
- Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 2
Key duties include:
- Front desk and phone reception for the hospital
- Administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and data entry
- Medical record management and general clerical support
- Working collaboratively with clinical staff during after-hours shifts
What you’ll need:
- Experience in administration, preferably in a health or clinical environment
- Confidence working independently and as part of a broader hospital team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A friendly, professional manner when dealing with staff, patients, and visitors
About the team:
NESMH is an 18-bed district hospital with a 3-bed emergency department, providing inpatient care, community nursing, and home support services. The hospital services a broad rural catchment and is supported by a small, committed team of health professionals.
