Role: Dairy Technician
Position: Full-Time
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dairy Technician to join our team at Agri Tech Services. The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of dairy and associated equipment across the North East of Tasmania.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with some after-hours support required for emergency breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, service, maintain and install dairy and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and equipment faults.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and provide after-hours support when required.
- Travel to customer sites throughout the North East of Tasmania.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
- Provide a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Complete service and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Work independently when required, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Participate in ongoing training to develop technical and industry knowledge.
Skills & Requirements:
- Mechanical trade qualification or relevant mechanical experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Reliable and willing to provide after-hours support for emergency breakdowns.
- Commitment to undertaking training and developing new skills.
- A positive, practical and professional approach to work.
