The Hub Derby is looking for an experienced assistant manager or restaurant manager.

The Hub Pizza and Beer is a licensed restaurant offering Napoletana-inspired, unique wood-fired pizzas and is based in Derby, the mountain biking capital of Australia. We are passionate about pizza and excellent customer service. The Opportunity

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Supervisory experience in the hospitality industry. This does not need to be in a licensed venue.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • This is a ‘hands-on’ position where you will lead the team in providing excellent product and customer service as well as maintaining our workplace culture.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of running a restaurant; floor management, rostering, cooking, customer service, staff training and hiring and stock management (You will be trained in areas that may be new to you).
  • The assistant manager/manager will report directly to the restaurant owners.

  • Remuneration will be between $65000 and $75000, plus superannuation, performance bonuses, leave loading and days-in-lieu, staff meals and discounts.

The Hub is closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day each year to allow for family/friends time. A rotating roster allowing one weekend and one Sunday off every four weeks.
