As we prepare for another exciting and busy visitor season, Bridestowe is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Café Assistants to join our friendly hospitality team. About the Role

We have casual seasonal positions available throughout the spring and summer months, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to be part of a welcoming and supportive team.

As a Café Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving a range of food, beverages, and café menu items.
  • Making coffee and other drinks (barista experience is highly regarded, but training can be provided).
  • Greeting customers with a friendly, positive attitude and assisting them with orders.
  • Operating the point-of-sale system and processing transactions accurately.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the café and kitchen areas.
  • Restocking supplies, monitoring displays, and ensuring the café is well-presented at all times.
  • Working collaboratively with your teammates to deliver efficient, high-quality service during busy periods.
  • Helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that leaves every visitor with a positive impression of Bridestowe.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are reliable, motivated, and passionate about hospitality. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a café environment (preferred but not essential).
  • A friendly, motivated, approachable personality and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • The ability to remain calm, organised, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and take initiative.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and peak visitor periods.
  • Barista experience is an advantage, although full training is available for the right person.
