Position: Experienced Excavator Operator – Civil Construction
Role: Full-Time
Location: Bridport
BKG Civil and Excavation is a locally owned civil contracting business based in Bridport, North East Tasmania. We’re growing and looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team.
We undertake a variety of civil construction and excavation projects across North East Tasmania, with plenty of work ahead.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator who takes pride in their work and can operate machinery safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The role will involve a variety of civil construction and earthworks, including:
- General civil construction
- Subdivision works
- Excavation and trenching
- Detailed earthworks and site preparation
- Working around services and other trades
- GPS machine control work
- Operating excavators and other civil machinery as required
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience operating excavators in civil construction
- Experience with general civil and subdivision works
- A strong understanding of civil construction practices
- GPS experience (advantage but not essential)
- A good work ethic and positive attitude
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A strong commitment to working safely and following site procedures
- Good communication skills
- Pride in producing quality work and looking after machinery
A truck licence would be an advantage but is not essential.
