Position: Farm Operations Assistant
Location: Bridport
Role: Permanent, Full-Time
Barnbougle Farm is seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Operations Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Located minutes from Bridport in North East Tasmania, Barnbougle Farm is a 6,000-hectare mixed farming operation comprising a large-scale Angus beef enterprise and an extensive potato production business. Our operation is supported by significant irrigation infrastructure, modern machinery and a commitment to best-practice farming.

The Position
As a Farm Operations Assistant, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the farm. Reporting to the Farm Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Livestock handling and general cattle husbandry.
- Operation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Tractor and agricultural machinery operation, including associated implements.
- General farm maintenance, fencing and infrastructure repairs.
- Assisting with seasonal cropping and livestock activities.
- Working safely while contributing to the efficient operation of the farm.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in cattle production and/or broad-acre agriculture practises.
- Experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery.
- A strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- A current driver’s licence.
