Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Fitter Machinist Apprentice to join our team and learn the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson. This position requires a commitment to 4 years training both on the job and at Tas TAFE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly, fitting and installation of mechanical parts and systems.
- Learn to operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc.
- Follow technical drawings and plans.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.
Requirements:
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual.
Desirable:
- Strong maths and a technical aptitude.
