JOB TITLE: Food and Beverage Attendant
JOB TYPE: Casual
LOCATION: 29 Main Street DERBY TASMANIA 7264
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Venue Manager
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supplying, dispensing, or mixing of liquor including the sale of liquor from the bottle shop
- department
- Taking food and beverages orders and receipts of monies from customers
- Taking reservations, greeting, and seating guests
- Providing high levels of customer service
- Assisting in the cellar or bottle shop department; including stocking of shelves and tiding
- Undertaking general waiting duties for food or beverages or both, including cleaning tables
- Processing financial transactions
- Engaged on delivery duties and putting away stock;
- Check- in of accommodation guests, answering phones and take bookings; and
- Promoting the Dorset Hotel, Accommodation and Cider businesses.
- Maintain a safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Other tasks as directed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- Certificate II or III in Hospitality (desirable, not essential)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Food safety training (desirable, not essential)
- First aid certificate (desirable, not essential)
Experience:
• Previous experience in a similar role or industry – preferable, not essential
Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members including following directions
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
- Provide high levels of customer service
- Complete allocated tasks on time
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Dorset Hotel products and services
- Deal with other employees, customers and suppliers professionally at all times
