Job Description
The Bee Hive Café, Scottsdale are looking for a motivated Junior Cafe Assistant to join our team and bring enthusiasm to the coffee machine, as well as passion for food preparation and friendly service.
Position Overview:
The Junior Cafe Assistant will play a key role in daily operations, assisting with barista tasks, food preparation, and customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic barista experience and an interest in expanding their skills in the cafe and hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Barista Duties: Prepare quality coffee and other beverages efficiently, while maintaining a clean coffee station. Ensure each drink meets our high standards for flavour, consistency, and presentation.
- Food Preparation: Assist with preparing ingredients and assembling food items, ensuring they are fresh and presented to a high standard. Support kitchen staff with basic prep as needed.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide an enjoyable experience. Address any inquiries and provide helpful recommendations on our menu items.
- General Cleaning & Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment in all areas, including the coffee machine, kitchen, and customer areas.
- Stocking & Inventory: Assist in monitoring stock levels for coffee beans, milk, food supplies, and other essential items. Report any low stock to the manager.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Barista Experience: Familiarity with operating an espresso machine and a passion for coffee-making desired.
- Food Interest: Basic understanding of food preparation and safe handling practices.
- Customer-Focused: Enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer service and engaging with people in a friendly, professional manner.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with a supportive team and flexibility to assist in various roles as required.
- Attention to Detail: Able to work efficiently, maintain cleanliness, and ensure each customer receives quality service.
