We are currently offering an exciting career opportunity for a Junior / Trainee Sales Agronomist to work alongside experienced professionals gaining hands-on experience, developing agronomic skills, and working within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be mentored and supported in your role and your knowledge and skills will be developed by a strong local and National Team. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to travel and learn from other production regions and broaden your skills.
This full-time position is based at the Muirs, Scottsdale Branch in NE Tasmania.
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be servicing both existing and prospective customers in the region and working with a wide variety of enterprises including dairy, beef and vegetable production systems.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Willingness to learn and an interest in the agriculture industry
- Working closely and collaboratively with other members of the Muirs team locally and Nationally.
- Be part of an energetic team of people that are highly focused on the success of their customers.
- Highly motivated and results orientated.
- Sales of required inputs to the customer base.
Skills & Experience
- A qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field is preferred, however not essential.
- Strong attention to detail
- A passion for agriculture with an entrepreneurial mind set.
- Good presentation, communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability and willingness to build relationships with key stakeholders essential to your success in this role.
- Relevant computer skills across the Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A current unrestricted drivers’ license is essential.
