Job Description

Join a Unique Tiny House Retreat in Pioneer, Northeast Tasmania

We’re seeking an exceptional, independent, and proactive housekeeper to be our trusted eyes on the ground at our beloved tiny house retreat in Pioneer. This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy and takes pride in maintaining a property to the highest standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is not your average cleaning job—it’s a property management and housekeeping hybrid. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day care and oversight of the property, ensuring everything runs smoothly without needing constant direction. You’ll maintain the magic of a thoughtfully curated accommodation experience that invites guests to slow down, disconnect, and truly unwind.

What you won’t be doing: We’ll handle all guest communication, coordinating external contractors, and online ordering. Your focus is on-site property management—keeping everything running beautifully.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Turnovers: Deliver immaculate 5-star cleans between guests (approx. 2 hours per turnover). Note: This is a shared role with our current housekeeper.
• Monthly Deep Cleans: Comprehensive property maintenance and deep cleaning.
• Inventory Management: Track supplies, restock amenities, and manage in-person shopping as needed.
• Basic Garden Maintenance: Keep the outdoor spaces tidy and welcoming.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and address issues proactively—minor repairs, maintenance needs, or guest concerns.
• Communication: Provide clear, concise updates.
• Property Oversight: Be our trusted eyes at the property, ensuring everything is guest-ready and running smoothly.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

You are:
• Highly independent and self-directed—you see what needs doing and just do it
• A problem-solver who uses initiative rather than waiting for instructions
• Detail-oriented with outstanding cleaning standards
• Design-savvy and understand how little touches elevate a space
• Organised and comfortable managing inventory and logistics
• A clear communicator who provides updates efficiently
• Reliable and trustworthy—we need to know the property is in capable hands
• Local to Northeast Tasmania
• Someone who genuinely cares about creating exceptional guest experiences

WHAT WE OFFER:

• $100 per turnover (approx. 2 hours)
• Additional compensation for monthly deep cleans, gardening maintenance, and shopping
• Flexible scheduling based on booking requirements
• Autonomy—manage the on-site operations independently
• A calm, beautiful work environment surrounded by nature
• The opportunity to be part of a unique and well-known tiny house accommodation story
• The satisfaction of maintaining a property to your own high standards

ESSENTIAL:

Must have (or be willing to obtain) your own ABN.

IS THIS YOU?:

If you’re a self-starter who loves the idea of managing the day-to-day operations of a beautiful property with minimal oversight, and you take genuine pride in excellence, we’d love to hear from you. This role is perfect for someone who wants responsibility and the freedom to work independently.

Note: This position requires someone comfortable working independently. If you prefer frequent check-ins or detailed daily direction, this likely isn’t the right fit.
