Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Spray Rig Operator to join our team, where attention to detail and safety is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a manual transmission truck to spray crops and pastures with chemicals
  • Washing and maintaining spray rigs 
  • Maintaining accurate records with clear handwriting and good communication skills
  • Multitasking efficiently across various farm tasks
  • Traveling extensively to different field locations
  • To understand and perform recommendations from agronomists
  • Mixing chemicals 
  • Entry of data at completion of job recommendations 
  • Ordering stock and stock control
  • General farm duties   

Requirements:

  • Manual Car License (must-have)
  • ChemCert and Weed Identification Course preferred but can be provided/organised for the right candidate
  • Good math skills
  • Mechanically minded
  • Physically fit (able to lift at least 30 kilos)
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work flexible hours; usually starting at 8 am or earlier as needed, finishing when the job is done (normally 5 pm)
  • Willingness to work weekends occasionally
  • Must be reliable and safety-conscious
  • Must be willing to undergo drug testing as part of the employment process
  • Able to work independently, as a team member and under pressure 
  • Punctual attendance

  • 3-month trial period
