Job Description
Bridestowe Lavender Estate is one of Tasmania’ s most iconic destinations, renowned for its spectacular lavender fields, premium products, and warm Tasmanian hospitality. The Tour Guide plays an important role in sharing Bridestowe’ s story with visitors through engaging and informative 30-minute guided walking tours. Each tour highlights the estate’ s history, lavender cultivation process, and the journey from paddock to product ̶ all while providing guests with a memorable and enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 30-minute guided walking tours for groups of up to 40 visitors around the estate.
- Share accurate and engaging information about:
- The history and heritage of Bridestowe Lavender Estate.
- The cultivation, harvesting, and distillation of lavender.
- The creation of Bridestowe’ s range of lavender products and their global reputation.
- Deliver tours in an enthusiastic, inclusive, and professional manner.
- Ensure visitor comfort, safety, and enjoyment throughout the experience.
- Answer questions and provide additional information to enhance visitor understanding.
- Work collaboratively with the Visitor Experience and Retail teams to manage group flow and tour schedules.
- Maintain presentation standards in alignment with the Bridestowe brand.
- Report any safety issues, incidents, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with other visitor services duties when required, such as greeting guests or providing general information.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills.
- Confident speaking to and managing groups of up to 40 people.
- Strong customer service focus with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to retain and accurately share factual information.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods.
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, or education (advantageous).
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).

- Each tour runs for approximately 30 minutes, with multiple sessions per day during busy periods.
